Q: How do I get a merchant account?

NFCWEB Cart works with virtually all Online credit card processors. (Please call our office for a complete listing) We also offer several online applications including our most popular EMS Instant Application. If you are ready to start accepting credit cards today you can fill out our instant application and you will be approved instantly.  You will find the Instant Application within the NFCWEB Cart E-Store Building Manager. You can also apply for an account with Nova Information Systems. NFCWEB Cart also supports hand processing. This allows you to take online orders without approving them realtime.  You can then receive order notification and manually key them into your current creditcard terminal..

Q: Can NFCWEB Cart issue merchant accounts outside of the United States?

Currently our merchant credit card acceptance program, EMS,  is applicable only to merchants located in the United States that have a relationship with a U.S. Financial Institution and a valid checking account.

We are also able to  take applications for International merchants with PlanetPayment.com.  If you don't want to apply for your own merchant account you can become an NFCWEB affiliate whereby you can partner with us and have us process your credit card orders for you.  Instant approval is possible with this option.

Q: Is there a fee for processing my merchant application?

Electronic Merchant Systems currently charges a $95 account setup fee. This fee is billed on your first statement and only after your new merchant account is approved.

Nova Information Systems currently charges a $95 application fee. Please check with your merchant account provider for their specific charges. 

NFCWEB also charges a $95.00 setup fee for our affiliate merchant processing program.

Q: Is there paperwork to sign?
Yes, If you choose to sign up for an EMS account, an EMS representative will contact you to verify that they are sending out the original paperwork, you would need to return this to commence final approval. Once final approval occurs (24 hours after EMS receives the application) you will then start to receive your deposits.

Q: What information will I need to complete the online application?
To briefly summarize, you will need current information about your business: legal  name; location; business history; owner information; sales data; banking reference information; funding information; and current credit card processing and card type information.

Q: How long will it take me to complete the application?
The online application is simple and easy to complete. It should take no more than 5-7minutes to complete and submit..

Q: How long does the application approval process  take?
Instantly, you can start accepting credit cards.  EMS will overnight the paperwork; once we receive your application paperwork it is reviewed by our underwriting department for final approval. The  application then is given final approval; Electronic Merchant Systems will contact you via phone call and/or e-mail (in most cases, within 24 hours of  submission). If additional review of your application is deemed necessary, you will be notified of a decision within 1 to 3 days.

Q: Is my application information secure?
Yes, your application information is encrypted and secure when it is transmitted to us.

Q: How do I know my merchant application was received? What do I do if it was not received?

The on-line Internet applications system will send back a confirmation that your merchant application was received to the e-mail address you provided in the application, along with providing your merchant number and set-up codes for  accepting credit cards. If you did not receive this confirmation within a few hours of submitting the application, please follow these steps:

Q: Who reviews the information on my application?

The Electronic Merchant Systems underwriting department will review your application. The information you provide is kept strictly confidential.

Q: What happens after my application is approved?
You  will receive an e-mail within a few minutes from Electronic Merchant Systems  confirming your approval along with your merchant number.  This will also include your HTML serial  number and Login serial number.

Q: How soon can I begin processing credit cards when my application is approved?

Q: Will I need to purchase additional equipment?
